“LEARN TO SWIM”!

NORTH SHORE PUPILS FOR HELENSVILLE The North Shore schools will be represented at the School Swimming Carnival at Helensville next Saturday. Twelve competitors, who won events at the present schools’ swimming sports at Cheltenham, will travel by bus to the northern town. By arrangement with the Helensville committee a special event for the Devonport Memorial Cup will be competed for by representatives of Devonport, Stanley Bay, Vauxhall and Belmont Schools. Helensville has been promoting a “Learn to Swim” week, which concludes with a, gala next Saturday. Mr. J. Cook of Vauxhall school staff and Mr. F. Langley, secretary of the Devonport Swimming Club, will travel in charge of the North Shore children. Helensville School is regularly represented at swimming carnivals at the North Shore.
