CANTERBURY EIGHT FOR WELLINGTON
If a table of heights and weights is anything on which to base calculations, the Canterbury crew to contest the inter-provin-cial eights at Wellington on Saturday should be well up at the finish. An average heiglit of 6ft llin in eight men is unusual. The crew has been training hat’d lately 2Lnd Mr. .H. Ayres, the 'All Black coach, expresses himself as
being pleased with H. Ayres the progress made, and thoroughly satisfied that his men will give a good account of themselves. Following are the weights and heights of the Canterbury men:
Average weight: 12st 31b. Of the eight men, four are from the Canterbury Club and three from the Avon Club, the odd man being a member of the Akaroa Senior Four.
