MAORI FOOTBALLER COMES TO AUCKLAND
FALWASSER TO PLAY HERE HAS JOINED MANUKAU ROVERS Albert Falwasser, crack Maori Rugby three-quarter, will be playing in Auckland this season. He has joined up with Manukau Rovers. IT. Dykes, who represented North Taranaki last season, will also play for the same club, which, it is stated, will be particularly strong this year. As most Rugby followers know, Falwasser was a member of the great Hawke’s Bay teams of 1924-25. A very brilliant player in his day, he was one of the star backs of the Maori team which visited Franc© and England in 1926 under the captaincy of W. Barclay, who is also back in Auckland, but who has retired from the game.
