WEEK-END PICNICS The railways at Auckland are still handling heavy excursion traffic, and several school picnics are scheduled for the coming week-end. On Friday a special train will take 395 children from the New Lynn School to Helensville, and on the following day 630 pupils of the Gladstone School and 300 from St. Matthew’s Sunday School will journey to Swanson.
