WESTPORT, Monday. In perfect weather and on a green of which the visitors state they have never seen an equal, the South Australian bowlers were to-day defeated by Westport by 76 points to 72. One player said he had played all over the world, but never before had he believed a green could be brought to such a state of perfection. In the morning, seven Taranaki rinks played on the Claudelands green
and seven at Whitiora against rinks drawn from those clubs. In the match between Taranaki and Claudelands, Taranaki won by 142 points to 131 points. Against Whitiora, Taranaki won again, the score being 151 to 135. TARANAKI fOURISTS WELCOME AT CAMBRIDGE (From Our Own Correspondent.) CAMBRIDGE, To-day.
