Axemen Injured. —Through his axe slipping when he was clearing a log, M. Fitzgerald, of Opotiki, cut his leg badly, and had to be taken to the hospital. A Taumarur.ui axeman, Frederick Gear, also cut his leg with an axe, and had to be admitted to the local hospital.
