Leet (48) and Gallichan (47) were the chief scorers. Ba.gge took five wickets for 70.. Marlborough was left to get 351 to win. At the close of play yesterday, the South Islanders had scored 95 for three wickets. For the fourth day's play the weather was dull. Murchison and Reid resumed Marlborough’s second innings, but the first ball the former snicked to Norris. Cragg followed, but, when the total of 115 was reached, Reid played one back to McVicar. Cragg fell to a great catch by O’Keefe, while Bagge was beaten by Gallichan. Score: Seven for 130.
