TRAILER BREAKS IN HALF
LOAD OF GIRDERS The main beam of a trailer carrying heavy girders broke at the corner of Cook Street and Albert Street about 2.30 this afternoon. There is a slight slope at this point and the trailer was beginning to move off down the hill when the wheels were locked. The load slipped off on the road way. The trailer is owned by J. R. Herring, carrier. The girders were to be loaded on the Toa, now at the Northern Company’s wharf, which is to sail for Wliakatane this evening.
