SUGAR STEAMER SAILS.—The Colonial Sugar Company's steamer Ilona sailed for Sydney on Saturday afternoon in continuation of her voyage from Fiji. PORT MELBOURNE REPORTED.— En route from New Zealand to London, the Commonwealth and Dominion Line steamer Port Melbourne is reported to have reached Panama on Friday. She was despatched from Lyttelton on February 23. THE MAUI POM ARE.—The New Zealand Government’s new motor-ship Maui Poiuare is expected to leave England shortly for Wellington. On Wednesday the vessel was at Southampton, loading barges to be used for lightering work at Samoa. BAGGAGE OFF CORINTHIC.—Messrs. L. D. Nathan and Company advise that the baggage of the Auckland passengers oft' the S.S. and A. Co. steamer Corinthic was to be dispatched from Wellington on Saturday evening last on the Union Company’s steamer Wingatui, which is expected to arrive at Auckland next Thursday from the capital, via Picton. GALLIC LEAVES NEW YORK.—The Shaw, Savill, and Albion Company have been notified by cablegram that the Gallic arrived at New York on March 9 from Auckland, and sailed again- on Tuesday for Halifax and West Coast of Great Britain. The vessel left Auckland on February 9. OLIVA WITH BULK OlL.—With the largest cargo of bulk oil ever to be unloaded at Auckland, the Anglo-Saxon Petroleum Company’s tanker Oliva arrived at Auckland yesterday morning from San Francisco, and berthed at the Western Wharf to pump her cargo of 7,400 tons into the Shell Company’s tanks at Freeman’s Bay. Tne vessel left San Francisco on February 19, and she called at Honolulu on February 29 to replenish her oil fuel bunkers. Boisterous conditions prevailed on the trip to Honolulu, but the conditions were generally fair during the remainder of the voyage. Captain .T. H.
