“IN OLD KENTUCKY” Just as Charles Dazey’s old racing melodrama proved a startling stage success for many years, "In Old Kentucky,” which is now at the Grand Theatre, has proved a sensational screen success. The picture, based on an original screen play by A. F. Younger, is said to have been suggested by the Dazey play, and has some of the earmarks of that old favorite of the speaking stage, yet it is far better from an entertainment viewpoint because it has been modernised and the chaiactrs move in ous own times, act as we would under similar circumstances and look like the people of to-day.
