MARKET QUIET INSURANCE STEAD’ Bank shares in most cases are firm. Australians are sought after at £l4 17s 6d, sellers asking £ls 2s. English, Scottish and Australian are also improving, buyers at £8 Is, sellers at £ 8 :;s 6d. Bank of New Zealand remain steady. . Insurance scrip stiil maintains good tigures. New Zealand have buyers at 41s and sellers at 41s 3d, while South British have buyers at 595, without sellers. Standard are keenly sought after at 625, with no sellers. The coal market is well supported. Hikurangi have steady buyers. Pukemiro stand with buyers at 63s 6d, no shares offering, while Renown have buyers at 12s, no sellers quoting. Buyers are paying more attention to Kauri Timber scrip, which is keenly sought after at 21s 3d, with sellers at Mining still remains quiet. Ohinenniri Bold and Silver shares are selling freely.
