ALL BLACKS’ TOUR

SHOULD NUMBER BE INCREASED

A SOUTHERN REQUEST (From, Our Resident Reporter.) WELLINGTON, To-day. Ori Tuesday next the New Zealand Rugby Union will consider the protest of the Alhambra Rugby Club, Dunedin, that the number of players being sent to South Africa next month is too few. Even at this stage, with the date of dispatch of the team a month away, Mr. S. S. Dean, chairman of the management committee, admits that if the union chooses it could obtain an increase in tlie number of players constituting the touring team. Inquiries show that the weight of official opinion is against such an increase, however. The Rugby controllers have decided that the 29 players which they are sending are sufficient for the number of matches to be played.
