The New Zealand Loan and Mercan- j tile Agency Company, Limited, Hamilton, reports:— At the Te Awamutu sale on Thursdny last, we had a good entry of beef, which sold under keen competition at full ruling rates. We. submitted a fairly large yard- i ing of store cattle, including a line of | ISO bullocks, which failed to reach the owner's reserve. Several pens of nicequality weaner Jersey heifers sold well. I The sheep pens were well filled, and ! here we effected a total clearance. Pigs j realised late values. "We quote:— J Fat steers, £lO 4s to £lO 17s; lighter do., £S 15s to £9 15s; fat heifers, £0 12s to £7 37s 6d; lighter do., £5 11s to £G: fat cows, medium quality, £5 15s to £6 11s; 1 heavy cow, £lO 32s 6d; plain and unfinished cows, £4 14s to £5 12s Gd; ! fleshy cows. £3 19s to £4 12s; boner cows, £2 15s to £3 17s 6d: 21-year-old steers, £4 16s to £5 10s; 16-month-old | steers, £3 to £3 7s: good quality weaner i Jersey heifers, £4 6s to £4 16s: Jersey cross do., £2 to £2 15s; small do., £1 7s 6d to £1 3 0s; fat ewes, £1 Is to £1 2s 3d; fat lambs, £1 Is: store lambs. 10s 6d to 13s; f.m. ewes, 15s to £1; aged ewes, 10s to 12s.
