CAR OVER BANK
MISHAP IN WAIMANA GORGE DRIVER’S ARM BROKEN (From Our Own Correspondent.) OPOTIKI, To-day. While motoring from Opotiki to Rotorua yesterday Mr. Fred Harvey drove too close to the edge of a bank in the Waimana Gorge and his car left the road and somersaulted several times. It appears that Mr. Harvey met a service car and drew to the outside edge to allow the latter to pass and the wheels of his car slipped over the bank. The car was considerably damaged and Mr. Harvey suffered a fractured arm. A passenger in his car was unhurt.
