MUNICIPAL CONCERT
A fine programme will be presented by the Municipal Band in the Town Hall on “Wednesday next. Vocal items, concerted and solo, will be rendered by the Orpheus Quartette, with Mr. Leo Whittaker at the piano. Some splendid music will be discoursed hjr the band, notably two Schubert numbers—“Rosamunde” overture and the First Movement to the “Unfinished Symphony,” the latter making a gorgeous musical picture with the bright instrumentation of a military bard. Four dances from “The Rebel MsiJ* will be found delightful music, piquant and modern in both idiom and harmony. The selection, “The Sb*®” rock,” will introduce many beautiful Irish melodies. Instrumental solos will be rendered by Messrs. McLennan and Bowes. Booking is at Messrs. L*wu Eady, Ltd.
