CLICK CLACK CABARET
A grand carnival night will be held this evening at the Click Clack Cabaret, Newmarket. It will take the form of a second reopening, and a gay time is assured to its patrons. Music will be supplied by George Shorland and his Sylvians, a company that has gained well merited repute as purveyors of excellent music. Balloons and novelties will be distributed free during the course of the evening.
Merna Kennedy, five feet two, and blessed with eyes of blue, is the latest Charlie Chaplin “find.” Miss Kennedy is the comedian’s leading lady in “The Circus,” and it is Mema's film debut. Miss Kennedy’s red hair photographs black and her green-grey Irish eyes photograph a pleasant shade of grey. Chaplin himself thinks so well cf Miss Kennedy that he is casting her opposite him in “Nowhere,” his newest comedy, which goes into production shortly.
