CROQUET TOURNAMENT
ENGLISH MEDAL GAMES SEMI-FINALS REACHED Games in the matches played for the gold and silver medals presented to the Auckland Croquet Association by the English Council, were played on the Mount Eden greens only this morning. The semi-finals of the doubles tournament were decided, and, but for the indisposition of one of the players, the final would also have been played. This match will probably be played on Monday or Tuesday. In the singles Miss Hesketh proved the winner of the C section, thus becoming a player in the semi-finals in which she will meet the winner of the D section on Mdiday. The singles final will also be played on Tuesday. The results were as follow: HANDICAP DOUBLES Semi-finals. —Mesdames Hayden and Allen beat Mrs. Savile and Mr. Earle; Mesdames Peart and Dawson beat Mesdames Wood and Jamieson. CHAMPIONSHIP SINGLES Mrs. Finch beat Mrs. Schnauer; Colonel Savile beat Mrs. Keyes; Mrs. Parker - Hill beat Mrs. Bray; Miss Hesketh beat Mrs. Arey.
