Donaldson, New Zealand representative for the Eastern Extension Cable Company, is staying at the Central Hotel. Mr. F. N. Bartram, M.P. for Grey Lynn, and Mr. V. H. Potter, member for Roskill. returned from Wellington this morning. Mr. Cl. G. Stewart, editor of the Railway Magazine, who has been in Auckland on departmental business, returned to Wellington last evening. Mr. H. H. Sterling, of Hamilton, general manager of the New Zealand Cooperative ’• ’ - Compar- Ltd., returned (South by train this morning. Mr. A. C. Turnbull, secretary to the Public Service Commissioner, is in ~ncl on business for his department. He is accompanied by Mrs Turnbull. Mr. F. D. Holdsworth, former Chief Postmaster at Auckland, who has been on a visit to New Zealand,, leaves on the Maunganui to-day for his home at Manly, Sydney. Mr. W. S. Lamb, of Sy' l - and Mr. \Y\ Martin Anderson, of England, have returned from a successful deep-sea fishing trip to Russell. They are at the Hotel Cargen. Mr. liana fin. of New York, who has been through the Dominion on a pleasure trip, arrived in Auckland this morning from the South, and will leave on the Maunganui to-day. The Rev. C. Beharell, of the London Missionary Society, who has been on furlough :.n Australia and New Zealand, has returned to his station at >’iue Island. Mr. H. White-Wickham, of London, vho has been deep-sea fishing at fsell, is at the Grand Hotel. He will leave by the Maunganui for Sydney this afternoon. Mr. A. Williams, president, and Mr. J. R. Brunt, secretary, who are to represent the Canterbury Justices’ Association at the Federation of New Zealand Conference, will visit. Auckland, where the conference opens on March pi. Mr. F. A. Hellaby and Mr. H. P. Caughey, who are leaving shortly fo.* England, were granted leave of absence by the council of the Auckland Chamber of Commerce yesterday.
