HALF A MILLION SPENT
WAR RELIEF PAYMENTS FINANCIAL STATEMENT Nearly half a million sterling has passed through the hands of th» Auckland Patriotic and War Relief Association. The Finance Committee reported yesterday that the total funds of the association at November ;.i last amounted to £ 133,552 5s lid. Since that date the sum of £2,738 Ds 6d had been received for interest os investments, £1.119 19s Sd for refunds from Southern patriotic societies, etc., and £4 6s Sd for donations, making a total of £137,715 4s 9d to be accounted for. The expenditure under all headings since November 30 amounted to £5,059 16s 6d, leaving a balance on hand at February 2, 1928, of £132,855 8s 3d. The total funds of the association since its inception amounted to £602,113 9s 3d, while the total dis. bursements under all headings amounted to £469,458 Is.
