MANUREWA PRESBYTERIANS

ENJOYABLE AFTERNOON The Manurewa Church Hall was the scene of a very successful afternoon on Wednesday, when a bring and buy sale was held by the Ladies’ Guild. The proceeds are to be devoted to the church funds. Mr. W. H. Carroll, home missionary for the district, presided, and the function was opened with a liymn and prayer. There was a large attendance of members and friends and good business was reported at the close of the day. The stall was in charge of Mesdames McCallum, Nield and Seymour. During the afternoon several enjoyable solos were rendered by Mesdames McAnully and Denees; Miss G. Mclnnes acted as accompanist, Mrs. Carroll gave a musical monologue, and Mrs. Johnson played a pianoforte solo. Later in the afternoon a dainty tea was served by Mesdames Finlayson, Weir and Gray.
