CAPITOL

“THE FIRE BRIGADE" In the Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Special production. “The Fire Brigade,” which will be screened at the Capitol Theatre to-night, one of the many notable incidents is the jump made by the hero from the blazing roof of a five-storey orphanage with a child in his arms

to the canvas held ~ for him by his I'; fellow firemen below. The biggest H fire scenes ever proBduced on the screen ■ are shown in the B picture, with a mighty line of 20 II engines, elaborate B fire-fighting acces- || sories, and an army Bof men. The fire ultimately rages over a whole block of eleven buildings.

An unusually strong muster of favourite players support the \v9rk of the two distinguished stars, making the picture one of outstanding merit, which will long be remembered by all who see it. “Swim Girl, Swim.” starring Bebe Daniels will also be shown to-night.
