The above little paragraph appeared in a recent issue of a Danish sporting journal and a broad translation brings out the following information: —“The New Zealander. S. A. Lay. has put up a new Australasian record in javelin by throwing 66.52 m. This is the next best throw during 1927 to that of the Finn. Pentilla. who put up a world’s record by throwing 69.58 m.” Such is fame —Stan Lay—NEW ZEALANDER!
