SPEED PAST SCHOOLS NO PROVISION FOR HOLIDAYS In view of the new regulations regarding motorists’ speed past school signs, the Auckland Automobile Association is considering removing its signs throughout the Auckland Province. The new regulations set a speed limit 0 t 15 miles an hour for motors passing school signs between the hours of 8 and 5 p.m. No provision is made for Saturdays and Sundays, nor for the school holidays, and the association considers that the ruling is r:diculous. Where no school signs are in position, no speed restrictions are imposed, 30 the association is considering the removal of signs. In the meantime no more school signs will be erected.
