REDUCED TRAM STOPS
BIG SAVING EFFECTED When two or three requests came oefore the Tramways Committee yesterday for changes in tramway stopping places, the committee considered the Bavins overbalanced the inconvenience. “We have noticed at the Power Board that in the short period of the new stops—since 100 were cut out—the council’s bill for electricity lias been reduced by not less than £3.500.” commented Cr. S. I. Crookes.
