MARKET STEADY PUKEMIRO IN DEMAND A healthy tone still exists on the market, although few sales have been transacted. Insurance stocks are in demand, sellers appearing only for Nationals. Goldsbrough, Mort, scrip is very firm, sales recorded at £2 9s 3d, leaving the market with buyers £ 2 Ss 9d, sellers £2 9s. New Zealand and River Plate are still sought after at 295; no sellers. Coal shares in most cases are well supported. Pukemiro are exceedingly firm, sales being recorded at 655, leaving buyers at 63s 6d, no sellers. Waipa .ire steady, with buyers 16s 9d, sellers 17s. The gas market is weak, Auckland being the only scrip supported. Mining is wenk. Waihis have also ea.sed a little, buyers quoting 9s 3d, sellers 10s.
