WANTED A SPELL
DRINKER SEEKS ROTO ROA SEVEN DAYS IN GAOL Press Association. WELLINGTON, Tuesday. A man walked into Mount Cook Police station yesterday afternoon and askid to be locked up and sent to Roa Island. Tie was under the influence of liquor, but not drunk enough to be placed In the cells. He J'as accordingly told to go away, and Jiia so, but when he was at what he thought was a safe distance he threw *tone through a window, causing damage to the extent of £1 10s. The man, Thomas Thomson, was tnen taken into custody. Thomson, Jho is 35 years of age, was to-day 7*h®a £i and ordered to make good damage, or in default to serve * ?ven days in prison.
