“NOBODY’S WIDOW”
HIS MAJESTY’S THEATRE “Nobody’s Widow,” a smart comedy by Avery Hop wood, is being presented each evening at His Majesty’s Theatre by W. J. C. Barr’s New English Comedy Company. The plot concerns a young woman who tells her friends that her husband is dead, though she left him because she found him kissing
a friend on their wedding night. Endless complications, which are rather diverting, follow the lie, but eventually the husband wins back his “widow” Vaudeville items by Miss Verna Bain and Mr. Han Flood are wedged into the comedy, the principal parts of which are taken by Miss Sybil Atholwood and Mr. Eric Harrison.
Production is now under way for “Slightly Used,” a new feature Master Picture, selected by Warner Bros, for May McAvoy, and in which this charming actress will have Conrad Nagel opposite her. Bobby Agnew and Audrey Ferris are also cast, which makes it all sound very interesting. Miss Ferris, by the way, is said to be a great “find.” As Warner Bros, think so, the young woman will bear watching*
