LYRIC
“IRISH HEARTS” TO-MORROW “Irish Hearts.” starring May bfcAvoy will be the attraction at the Lyric Theatre to-morrow. Included in the cast are Jason Robards, Warner Richmond, Kathleen Key, Walter Perry, Walter Rodgers and Les Bates. The picture is a Graham Baker adaptation of the story of the same name by Melville Crosman. It has to do with the fortunes and misfortunes that befall pretty Patsy Shannon and her old father, from the day they left Ireland to come to America. The story is brimful of fun, fighting, tenderness and human appeal. It is Irish to the core, which means that it is a nurrtfber of things. May McAvoy was never so well cast. She lives the part with radiant youthfulness. Robards is splendid as the young American, and Warner Richmond gives another of those characterisations which are always true, forceful and absorbing. Walter Perry as the father of Patsy is the proverbial “scream,” and the technical features of the play are fully up to the human elements.
