EDENDALE
BIG PROGRAMME TO-NIGHT
A prince without a castle is the predicament in which Joseph Schildkraut finds himself as the prince in the Metropolitan picture, ‘‘Meet the Prince,” which comes to the Edendale Theatre to-night. When taxes were too high and Bolsheviks too many in Russia the prince came to America and worked as a butler for a millionaire. Then things began to happen. His sister, the princess, fell in love with an American and married him, and the prince fell in love with an American revolutionist’s daughter, and married her. When it was all over, the prince discovered that a noble without a castle is like the average American—a most dependable and resourceful fellow. The featured players include Marguerite Be La Motte, Vera Steadman, Julia Faye and Bavid Butler. “The Romance of Hincmoa,” a charming Maori film full of impressive symbolism and quaint fantasy, which reveals the full range of native life and character, and the entire sweep of New Zealand’s magnificent scenery, will also be shown this evening.
