DRAPERS’ CONFERENCE

DELEGATES ASSEMBLE TO-MORROW EIGHTH ANNUAL MEETING The eighth annual general meeting of the New Zealand Federation of Drapers, Clothiers and Boot Retailers will be held on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday at the Unity Hall. About 42 delegates, representing Otago, Southland, Canterbury, Wellington, Wanganui, Masterton, Feilding, Palmerston North, New Plymouth, Nelson, Hamilton and Auckland, will be presided over by Mr. T.* Forsyth, M.P. (Wellington), chairman of the advisory board of the federation. The Auckland representatives will be Messrs. T. Clark, G. O. Blp-key, George Court, F. House, G. M. Fowlds, W. rf. Nagle, F. Brewer, H. Court, J. S. Milne and J. R. Rendell. The agenda paper is a long one. The conference will be opened to-morrow at 10 a.m., and in the evening delegates will attend the display by the Interhouse Girls’ Sports Association at the Domain. On Thursday there will be morning and afternoon sessions, and an inspection of staff training classes at Druleigh College. In the eveningr a dinner will be given to the delegates by the Auckland association. On Friday members will visit Druleigh College and establishments of local members. A motor trip through the suburbs or a launch trip on the harbour will conclude .the conference.
