A quiet tone continues to be registered on ’Change with little actual business to record.

Practically the only featupre worthy of note at this morning’s and yesterday afternoon’s calls was a sale of Pukemiro Coals at 655. the first movement registered in this stock for several weeks and show'ing an advance of about Is 6d on the last recorded sale. Banks are quiet at the morr^i.i, with buyers’ quotations for several shares temporarily withdrawn. Insurances are firm, with sellers hard to locate. Slightly more attention is being paid to miscellaneous crip and the section generally is showing more life. Government and local body debentures continue in good demand.
