BRITANNIA
“HER WILD OATS”
“Her Wild Oats” is now being shown at the Britannia Theatre.
The story, briefly, tells the tale of a day-dreaming little waitress in a lunch wagon, filled with a desire to taste the thrill of being in the social whirl, and of her unsuccessful efforts to be taken seriously when she tries to do it. The result is failure, a headache, a handful of bills, the visiting of large bodies of indignant creditors, and a return to the lunch counter.
When, at the finish, Colleen suddenly finds herself out of business, the audience roared. But it wouldn’t be right to tell you how the story finally comes out.
Marshall Neilan, who directed “Her Wild Oats,” and John McCormick, her producer, deserve far more credit than space will permit giving them here. The picture speaks far more ably on Colleen’s behalf than mere words possibly could- “ Nobody’s Widow” will also be shown this evening.
