DAMAGES IN DIVORCE
A SYMPATHETIC JURY FULL AMOUNT GRANTED (From Our Oicn Correspondent) HAMILTON. To-day. In the Hamilton Supreme Court ye*« terday, a jury was empanelled to assess damages to be granted to a petitioner, William Holland, a labourer, of Frankton, in a case in which Ethel Lydia Holland was re«* spondent, and James Ritchie co-re« spondent (neither of whom ap* peared). Petitioner sought dissoluM tion of the marriage, custody of Ihj# children, and £3OO damages from co* respondent. Petitioner was married in 1912, and was happy till 1927, when Ritchie bo« came friendly with his wife. The jury awarded the full araouitf claimed, expressing regret that thfl amount was not larger. A decree nisi was also granted.
