SOUTH AUSTRALIAN BOWLERS DEFEATED

MATCH AT WANGANUI Press Association. WANGANUI, Friday. Five rinks of South Australian bowlers arrived from New Plymouth this afternoon, and were welcomed by the Mayor and the president of the Wanganui Bowling Centre. The visitor were defeated by the country clubs’ representatives by 100 points to 73. Details are as follow, South Australian players being mentioned first: —Potter, Bower, Alexander, Naylor, 23 v. Willis, Handley, Curtis, Campbell; 27; Sellar, Barton, Haggar, Cherry, 17 v. Coutts, Drury, Scarf e, Cherry 28; Davis, McWaters, Penno, Dunn 12 v. Wilson, Aiken, Spratt, Mathieson 37; Alley, Temple, Renifrey, Castine 17 v. Atkinson, Ingram, Purnell, Roberts 15.

The visitors will play the Wanganui Centre rinks to-morrow. On Monday they leave for Napier.
