G. Price, Ltd; attractive residence of eight rooms and offices, situated at 25 Seaview Road, Remuera; six residential sites, Barry’s Hill, Remuera, each approximately 63 x 184 ft. The Auckland Auctioneering Co., Ltd., instructed by Emanuel Kissin, of the Hobson and Victoria Loan Companies, will sell by public auction on Monday next, at their rooms, 6 Customs Street, £5,000 worth of unredeemed pledges. Mr. A. H'. Jones is the auctioneer. Messrs. Squirrell and Co., by instructions from the official assignee, will sell on the vacant section, Mortimer Pass, Newmarket, on Monday next, at 10.30. a.m., a large selection of timber and builders’ hardware and sundries. This sale was to have been held ‘ two weeks ago. Mi\ Roy Squirrell is the auctioneer. and three tons across country. The model tested on Thursday carried a load of two tons of sand and one ton of pig-iron. The vehicle itself weighs three tons. The test was carried out in the presence of representatives of the Public Works Department, city engineer’s department, power boards and tramways department, also a number of country and borough engineers, and representatives of engineering firms. The test was carried out over some rough country at Glendowie, St. Heliers. The rear wheels were fitted with a simple and easily-fitted caterpillar track. The first test was down a steep gully and up the other side, grade probably one in four. That was easy, so the next test was over a steeper piece, probably one in one and a-half with soft earth surface. A change to a lower gear and that too was easy. The
