EAST TAMAKI MEETING A URGE ATTENDANCE The third annual meeting of the Eaat Taraaki Amateur Sports Club w as held to-day at the East Tamaki Recreation Grounds. There was a large gathering of residents of the district and many made the journey from Auckland. The course had received much attention during the oft season and was in splendid condition after the rain. In addition to the athletic events, a number of hunting competitions were on the programme. Visitors were present from Ardmore and Clevedon, and the Pakuranga Hunt Club was well represented. Mr. S. Pilkington, of Matangi, acted as judge. Results were as follow: Maiden Handicap (open).—E. Gladding 1 1 yd), U W. Robinson (scr), 2; R. Why to Potter Handicap, 120yds (local).—R Whyte (10yds). 1; T. Whyte (3yds), 2L. Crogin (syds), 3. Half-mile Cycle- (local).—L. Penfold 35yds)» 1: C. Watts (100yds), 2; R. Watson (80yds), 3. Time, lm 16s. Won by two lengths. Half-mile Flat.—A. Bellingham (80yds), 1: T>. E’itt (200yds), 2: D. J. Pitcher (70yds), 3 Time, 2m 0-J&. Won by inches. HUNTING COMPETITIONS Maiden Hunters.—C. Allen, on Amman, 1; W. S. Duder, on Mona, 2; A. C. Atchinson. 3. Cleverest Hunter.—Ben Myers’s Heather Bell. 1; C.
