NAPIER HARBOUR BOARD
HASTINGS REPRESENTATIVES Press Association. HASTINGS, Thursday. By Act of Parliament last session the constitution of the Napier Harbour Board was amended to provide two members instead of one, to represent the borough of Hastings. The election of the extra representative yesterday resulted in the return of Mr. J. S. McLeod, managing director of De Pelichet, McLeod and Company, also president of the Chamber of Commerce, by a sweeping majority, polling being, McLeod. 1,040; H. lan Simson, 272.
