HEENEY’S CHALLENGE By Cable.—Press Association. — Copyright. NEW YORK, Tuesday. The New Zealand heavy-weight boxer, Tom Hoeney, has filed a challenge for a match with Gene Tunney. This the New York State Athletic Commission has accepted, but it has placed Heeney as second challenger owing to the previous challenge of Sharkey. The board refused to accept a cheque for £SOO which accompanied Heeneys challenge.—A. and
