THEFTS AT WAIROA
TWO NATIVES CHARGED Press Association. WAIROA, H. 8., To-day. A native named Dick Mataira pleaded guilty to breaking and entering Herbert’s drapery shop, at North Clyde, and stealing a quantity of men’s clothing and other articles. He was committed for sentence to the Napier Supreme Court by Mr. E. C. Dewey, S.M. John Douglas Starke, another native, similarly charged, pleaded not guilty. He was also committed for trial at the next sitting of the Supreme Court. Bail was allowed.
