SWIMMING CALA

WAITEMATA ON TUESDAY With 11 events set down for competition, the third carnival of the season to be held by the Waitemata Swimming Club in the Tepid Baths on Tuesday evening next promises to provide unlimited sport. There are several distance events which have attracted the best of Auckland’s swimmers, while the sprint events have also drawn excellent entries. The club recently presented a cup to the Drapers’ and Mercers' Club, to be competed for at its carnivals, and the flrst race, a dual relay, will be held on Tuesday. Another interesting - event will be the Waitemata junior championship, over the second distance of 150yds.
