Mr. K. T. Ward, Under-Secretary of Justice, is on a visit to Hamilton. Mr. B. L. Ballard, Comptroller of prisons, is visiting the Auckland district. Mr. J. K. Lowe, District Engineer, Auckland Railways, left for the Bay of Plenty District last evening. Judge Jones, of the Native Land Court, arrived at Frankton Junction this morning from the South. Mr. R. A. Lippincott left for the South last evening by the Limited. The Hon. W. H. Triggs, M.L.C., and Mrs. Triggs, of Huapai, are staying at tha Star Hotel. Mr. T. O Bishop, secretary of the New Zealand Employers’ Association, is at the Grand Hotel. Mr. O. R. Farrer, of Hamilton, left for Wellington last evening to join the Arawa for England. Mr. H. A Penn has taken over his position as traffic advisor to the divisional superintendent. North Island Railways, at Auckland Mr. F. W. Cave, of Manukau Road, Auckland, has been elected a member of the Council of the New Zealand Association of British Manufacturers and Agents. The Hon. W. Nosworthy, Post-master-General, arrived in Napier yesterday evening. He left this morning for Waikaremoana, to inspect the Lake House there. Colonel Commandant H. R. Potter, C.M.G., officer commanding the Northern Command, has returned to Auckland from the Waikato. He will go to Whargarei to-morrow in company with Major-General Young. The Minister of Justice and Defence, the Hon. F. J. Rolleston, is visiting the North on an inspection of prisons and prison camps. The Minister expects to return to Wellington on Monday next, Mr. J. V. Wilson, private secretary to Sir Eric; Drummond, SecretaryGeneral of the League of Nations, at one time a lecturer at the Auckland University College, will arrive in Auckland from Hamilton to-day. He is on a holiday visit to the Dominion. Colonel Howard Murray, C.1.E., of the Indian Army, accompanied by Mrs. Murray, has arrived in Wellington by the Manuka. They intend to make a six weeks’’ tour of the Dominion, and at present are guests of Messrs. E. L. and W. A. Mowbray, Lower Hutt. Major-General R. Young, C. 8., C.M.G., D. 5.0., G.0.C., New Zealand Forces, arrived from Wellington by the Limited this morning to inspect the New Zealand Army Medical Corps (Northern Depot) which is in camp at Narrow Neck.
