LAST TRIBUTES

LATE BRO. COLUMBANUS HIGH MASS AT CATHEDRAL Striking tribute was paid yesterday to the memory of the late Brother Columbanus in St. Patrick’s Cathedral. The requiem mass was attended by Marist pupils of Roman Catholic schools, and representatives of various religious orders in the diocese. The mass was celebrated by Bishop Liston, Bishop Cleary presiding in the sanctuary. A panegyric was preached by Bishop Liston. Brother Columbanus was buried in a private cemetery at Panraure, which is reserved for the religious, the graveside service being conducted by Bishop Liston.
