CROWN DROPS CASE
CHARGE TOO OLD GISBORNE PROSECUTION Press Association. GISBORNE. To-day. At the Supreme Court to-day Percy Raggett appeared on charges* of indevent assault on a boy and indecent and criminal assault on a girl under the age of fourteen. In respect to the charge of assault against the girl the evidence disclosed that the ease had not been brought within nine months of the alleged offence, ar.d on the advice of the Judge the Crown dropped the case. On th€> charge of assault against the boy the accused was sentenced to 12 months’ probation.
