PRINCESS AND TIVOLI

“FRENCH DRESSING”

“French Dressing:” will be shown at the Princess and Tivoli Theatres tomorrow. This production tells the story of a sedate married couple living in Boston. The wife is a solemn, serious, almost dowdy young matron. But she goes to Paris for a divorce when hubby inadvertently gets mixed up in an innocent flirtation. There she discovers that fine plumage is sometimes essential to the happiness of a husband. In the end it all comes out perfectly with conjugal felicity restored. _ Lois Wilson is a dream in her French frocks. The demure maid of •The Covered Wagon” has vanished and in her stead is the lovely, fashionable girl who wins every heart. H. B. Warner is seen in the role oi the quiet husband i who turns out to be not so quiet when the time comes to assert himself. Lilyan Tashman is seen as a vamp—bul not as a bad vamp. In reality she is quite innocent of any desire to breal up the Boston couple but appearances for a time are against her. Clive Brool fills the role of a polished Parisiar gentleman of fashion, who succeeds admirably in giving the quiet litth Boston matron a sense of her own im portance. “Gun Gospel,” which will also b< shown to-morrow, deals with the fadinj of the Western gunman. It has tremen dous romantic appeal in that it i; authentic history, and its character j are carried in true vernacular, so tha all the elements of the time and perio< I are maintained to advantage. Kei | Maynard, who is renowned for hi 1 spectacular and daring stunt ridina {far surpasses anything he has don : to date.
