SAFE-BLOWERS FAIL
DARING ATTEMPT STOLEN EXPLOSIVES Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, To-day. Burglars last evening made a daring hut unsuccessful attempt to blow open the safe in the premises of Maddren Bros., of Madras Street, ropemakeis. Nothing was taken. Earlier in tha day explosives had been stolen from the tramway quarry at Redcliffs.
