Henderson Team Offered for Sale

WELL-KNOWN PERFORMERS HIGH-CLASS STOCK MRS. NICHOLLS, owner of some high-grade trotting stock at Henderson, has decided to offer her team for saie, and a splendid opportunity is presented to enthusiasts to secure either well-per-formed horses or some promising youngsters. The Henderson team offered for sale comprises Nelson Tasker, Billy Carbine, Harry Mack and Peter Carbine, and while the latter pair have not sported silk, the older couple are wellknown performers in the Auckland district. Nelson Tasker Nelson Tasker is a hardsome six-year-old by Nelson Bingen from .Sal Tasker, and in appearance, conformation and ability he is a credit to his parentage. He has some fine performances to his credit over eight and ten furlongs, and with age is showing stamina, which will lead to success over a longer journey. Billy Carbine Billy Carbine is a five-year-old square-gaited son of El Carbine and Koromiko, the latter being by Galindo from Manuka, a daughter of Wildwood. Billy Carbine was given plenty of time to mature and opened his racing career auspiciously last spring by running a great two miles with Great Change. This was followed up by a win at Whangarei, and in his recent essays the trotter has seldom been out of the place money. The Juveniles Harry Mack is a three-year-old by the well-bred American sire A 1 Ma* k from the pedigreed mare Fidget, while Peter Carbine, who is the same age, claims El Carbine as his sire, his dam being the Logan Pointer mare Logan Itose. Both juveniles have received a good education at the trotting business and are showing exceptional promise, and it would not be long before they could be got ready to race. The older horses are also in training for engagements ahead, and buyers of any of the team should not have long to wait for a return on their outlay.
