NEW ZEALAND RECORD CLAIMED Press Association. INVERCARGILL, Monday. What is said to be a motor speed record for Australia and New Zealand was established on Oreti Beach to-day, when Mr. C. W. Hamilton (Fairlie) drove a Sunbeam car over s. straight mile in 335, a speed of 109 miles an hour.
