LORD CAVE BETTER. —The condition of the Lord Chancellor, Viscount Cave, following his recent operation, is reported to be more satisfactory. A. ar.d N.Z. ITALY AND DAVIS CLP. —Italy has proposed that her Davis Cup tie against Australia be played at Geneva. It is expected that Australia will agree to this suggestion.—A. and N.Z.-Sup. COLLIDED WITH BATTLESHIP. — The. British steamer Corinthic (4,823 tons), while leaving the harbour at Malta, collided with the stern of the battleship Queen Elizabeth, and her s aloon balcony was destroyed.—A. and N.Z. Home rule for inpia.—At a conference of all the Indian political Parties at Delhi it was agreed that the bwaraj, or Home Rule. constitution which is to be framed should provide full responsible Government for iPdia. and should include the Native states.—-a. and N.Z.
