ATHLETICS AND CYCLING FAST TIMES AT DOMAIN With a light fast track the sprinters were able to put up good times at the jubilee meeting of the Auckland Athletic and Cycling Club meeting, held in the Domain on Saturday afternoon. V. R. Walker and A. Jamieson were the best sprint performers. Savidan, who was recovering from sickness, did not make a very earnest effort in the three-mile handicap. The championship cup events were won as follows: Running, Currton-Nor-ton Cup, T. E. Henry: cycling, F. PTapper (Hamilton); field events, E. S. Wills. The New Zealand swimmers, Miss Ena Stocklev and Miss Kathleen Miller, competed in the swimming carnival last evening at the Municipal Baths, at Wellington, 248 miles north-west of Sydney, where they were given a civic reception. Miss Stockley won the women’s 50 yards race, and was in the winning team in a mixed relay race. In a 50 yards handicap ahe did her best, her lime being 29s, —A- and N.Z.
