FOR THE BLIND

PICNIC AND SOCIAL Two events of interest to Auckland’s blind community will take place this week. The first is the annual picnic of the Blind Institute, which will take place to-morrow at Takapuna Beach. A varied programme of entertainment has been prepared for the afflicted. On Thursday a farewell social will be held at the institute in honour of Mrs. Whelan, who is retiring after 14 years of devoted service. All blind people are invited to attend both functions.
